The Hottest Mix DJ in the World... is the description legendary Hip Hop icon Luther "Uncle Luke" Campbell, formerly of 2 Live Crew, uses to describe 20 year-old DJ Smallz. Encompassing a blend of supreme turntable skills and marketing finesse, it’s no surprise why DJ Smallz has quickly risen to become one of the nation’s premier DJs and what has led him to the type of success that has eluded many in his field.

Born overseas, DJ Smallz moved to the state of Florida in his early childhood, expanding his passion for southern hip hop music. His strong love affair with the hip hop scene switched to a passion for turntables from percussion instruments in his early teenage years. By the age of 18, DJ Smallz rapidly sharpened his turntable techniques, sweeping local competition through various night club performances and a powerful mixtape presence, garnering a profound street buzz for his passion of southern hip hop music.

That passion for southern hip hop music soon led to national exposure garnered from an intense street presence of his nationally recognized Southern Smoke CD series. Aiding as a powerful marketing tool for many major artists, record labels and managements, DJ Smallz played a monumental role in catapulting major and independent Southern artists to the attention of national and international markets. The Southern Smoke series has been co-signed by some of the biggest names in the music industry, and to date, DJ Smallz has collaborated with such established figures as Grammy Award-winner Big Boi of Outkast, southern icons UGK, Master P and Three 6 Mafia, and multi-platinum superstars Lil’ Jon, Ludacris and T.I.

With the enormous success of the Southern Smoke CD series and its distribution in 41 markets nationally and 7 markets internationally, DJ Smallz turned his talents to the national radio scene. Every Thursday night, Southern Smoke Radio broadcasts live to 3 million subscribers from 12-2 AM EST on Sirius Satellite Radio and DISH Network. The exclusive and uncensored mix show, boasting guest appearances from Southern Hip Hop’s A-List, continues its quest for world domination. Southern Smoke Radio is currently syndicated in Australia, Singapore and Malaysia through Clear Channel Communications. Several other commercial radio stations in England, Germany, and South Africa are in negotiations to broadcast the exclusive syndication within the next month.

When the 20 year-old prodigy isn't engineering the boards or mixing on his syndicated radio show, DJ Smallz may be found constructing his multi-media empire. Southern Style Marketing, a fully staffed marketing and advertising firm established in the summer of 2002, presently caters to a clientele of more than 50 major and independent record labels, several clothing companies, and a number of consumer products, including beverages, movies, and video games. Other projects keeping DJ Smallz in demand include PartySouth.com, a revolutionary online talent agency and Southern Smoke TV, an extraordinary project slated for major distribution in the United States and Japan in 2006.

With so many accomplishments, of course has come a bevy of media and industry accolades. DJ Smallz was distinguished by MTV News as one of the "Top 10 DJs of 2005" and by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the "Top 10 DJs to watch in 2006." In addition, DJ Smallz has graced the pages of The Source Magazine, XXL, Juice and New York Times, to name a few.
